Why is Work Experience Important?

Work experience is important when applying for a healthcare course or career as it allows you to have an understanding of the career you are wanting to go into. Additionally you can build up a series of skills that you can use to demonstrate your suitability for your chosen course and careers. You can read all there is to read about your chosen career, but there really is no substitute for first-hand experience - whether you’re at school, at college, or working already.

There are a series of top tips and other useful bits of information included in the menu options to the left. These are designed to give you ideas about getting work experience and how you can ensure you make the most of this experience. The information contained is generic so we do advise you to find out if the places you’re applying to have specific requirements of their own.
